Privacy Policy
The short version
We collect what the app needs to run a rewards program and nothing else. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no ads in Wrench Wallet.
If you are a customer, your dealer can see your name, your contact details, your balance and what you have bought from them. That is the point of the program. They cannot see anything about other dealers’ customers.
Wrench Wallet is operated by Fort Detroit Logistics LLC, Goodrich, Michigan, United States (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Wrench Wallet dealer app, the customer app, and wrenchwallet.net.
What we collect
If you are a dealer
- Your name, business name and email address
- Your subscription status and billing history
- The rewards, deals and rules you set up
- Purchases, payments and point transactions you record
- Support messages you send us, with your business name, plan and app version attached
If you are a customer
- Your name, and your phone number or email address
- Which dealers you have joined, and your point balance with each
- Purchases and payments your dealer records against your account
- Rewards you redeem, punch cards, prize entries and wish list items
- A device token if you turn on notifications
Automatically
- Device type, operating system version and app version
- Error reports when something goes wrong
- IP address when you use the contact form, kept to limit abuse of it
We do not collect location data. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Card details
Dealer subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers. We can see that a payment succeeded or failed and the last four digits — nothing more.
How we use it
- To run the rewards program: track points, show balances, apply rules
- To let a dealer identify their own customer at the truck
- To send notifications you asked for
- To bill dealer subscriptions
- To answer support requests
- To find and fix faults
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it. Ever.
Who else sees it
Your dealer
A dealer sees the customers who have joined their program: name, contact details, balance, transaction history with them, and wish list. They cannot see your activity with any other dealer.
Service providers
We use a small number of companies to run the service. They process data on our instructions only:
- Supabase — database and hosting
- Stripe — dealer subscription payments
- Resend — transactional email
- Apple and Google — push notification delivery
- Vercel — website hosting
Legal
We will disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone from harm. We have not received any such request to date.
Notifications
Dealers can send notifications to their own customers about deals and rewards. Turn them off in your device settings at any time; nothing else in the app stops working if you do.
Text messages
Where we send text messages, we do so only with express consent collected at the point of signup, and every message includes a way to stop. Consent is never shared with third parties for their own marketing. See our SMS consent notice for details.
How long we keep it
- Account information — while your account is open
- Transaction records — seven years, for tax and accounting
- Support messages — two years
- Error reports — ninety days
When you delete your account we remove your personal information within thirty days, except records we are required to keep for tax purposes, which are stripped of identifying detail.
Your choices
You can, at any time:
- See and correct your information in the app
- Delete your account — customer app, My Card, Delete account
- Turn notifications off
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you
Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including asking us to delete information or to stop certain processing. Use the contact form and we will action it.
Children
Wrench Wallet is for professional tool buyers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is limited to those who need it. Each dealer’s data is separated at the database level, so one dealer cannot reach another’s records even by accident.
No system is perfect. If we discover a breach affecting your information we will tell you promptly.
Where your data lives
Our servers are in the United States. If you use Wrench Wallet from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed there.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for anything significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
