For dealers
What does it cost?
$39.99 a month for one truck. No setup fee, no per-customer charge, no hardware to buy. Your card is charged when you sign up and monthly after that. Cancel any time from your account on this site.
Do my customers need to pay anything?
No. The customer app is free. They download it, enter your join code, and start earning.
How do customers find me?
Every dealer gets a six-character join code. Customers enter it when they sign up, or scan the QR code on the poster you can print from the app — Account, then Poster.
Who decides what points are worth?
You do. In Rules you set how much a customer spends to earn a point, and what points are worth when they redeem. There are presets to start from, and a calculator that shows what a typical customer earns in a year before you commit to anything.
Am I on the hook for the points?
Yes, and it is worth being clear about this. Points are credit toward purchases from your truck. Wrench Wallet keeps the count and shows you what is outstanding; honouring it is between you and your customer. Your Home screen shows outstanding credit in dollars so the number is never a surprise.
What is the wish list?
Customers write down tools they plan to buy. You see the list grouped by tool — twelve people wanting the same ratchet is a purchase order — or by customer, and you can print a summary to take to your distributor.
You can set points for adding to it, or leave that switched off and use it purely to know what to stock.
Can I run a double points week?
Post a deal, set the multiplier, give it an end date. It applies to every purchase and payment while it runs and stops on its own — nothing to remember to switch off. A banner on the Deals screen shows what is running and when it ends.
Does it need a card reader or a scanner?
No. Your phone scans the customer's code, or you look them up by name. Nothing else to carry.
What happens if I cancel?
Sign in at wrenchwallet.net, open Account and choose Subscription. Billing is handled on the website rather than in the app, so that is the one place to change a card, download an invoice or cancel.
Your account stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. After that the dealer app stops working and customers can no longer earn. Settle any outstanding points with your customers before you go — that obligation is yours, not ours.
For customers
Does the app cost anything?
No. It is free, and it always will be.
How do I join my dealer?
Ask them for their join code, or scan the poster in the truck. Enter it in the app and you are on their list.
What are points worth?
That is up to your dealer, and the app shows you the value they have set. Points are credit toward things you buy from that dealer. They are not cash, cannot be withdrawn, and are not transferable between dealers.
Can I use one account with two dealers?
Yes. Each dealer keeps a separate balance, and you switch between them in the app. Points earned with one are not spendable with another.
I paid away from the truck. Do I still earn?
Tell the app you made a payment and your dealer approves it. It shows up in your balance once they do.
What is the wish list for?
Tools you are saving up for. Your dealer sees the list and knows what to bring on the truck. It is not for warranty claims — take a broken tool to your dealer directly.
What if my dealer stops using Wrench Wallet?
Their program closes and points stop accruing. Anything you are owed is between you and your dealer, so it is worth spending a balance you have been sitting on.
