Delete your Wrench Wallet account

Wrench Wallet is published by Fort Detroit Logistics LLC. This page explains how to delete your account and exactly what happens to your data. You do not need to sign in to read it.

If you are a customer

A customer is someone who collects points and punches from a tool truck dealer. You can delete your own account from inside the app at any time. You do not need to contact us or fill in anything on this page.

  1. Open Wrench Wallet and sign in.
  2. Go to your card (the first tab).
  3. Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete my account.
  4. The app shows you what you are about to give up: your points balance, any reward you have redeemed but not yet collected, and how many dealer programs you belong to. Nothing has been deleted at this stage.
  5. Confirm. The account and its data are removed immediately.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Points are not transferable and cannot be restored afterwards. If you have a reward marked as owed but have not collected it yet, collect it from your dealer before you delete.

If you are a dealer

A dealer is the tool truck operator who runs a rewards program. A dealer account cannot be deleted from inside the app, because deleting it would also erase the points and punch cards of every customer who joined that program, people who have no say in the decision and may have balances they are still earning toward.

To close a dealer account:

  1. Cancel your subscription first, from Account → Billing in the app. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  2. Send us the form at the bottom of this page, using the email address on your account.
  3. We confirm by reply, then delete the program and your account. We aim to do this within 30 days of your request.

We handle it this way rather than automatically so that your customers are not cut off without warning, and so a cancellation and a deletion are never confused with one another.

What is deleted

When a customer account is deleted, all of the following are removed:

When a dealer account is closed, everything above is removed for the dealer, along with the program itself, its rewards, punch card programs, promotions and every customer's membership of that program.

What is kept, and for how long

Two things survive a deletion. Neither can be used to identify you afterwards.

What Why, and for how long
Anonymised transaction records The individual point awards and redemptions that made up your balance remain in your former dealer's business totals, with the link to you removed. They no longer carry your name, email or any other identifier; they are counted, not attributed. Without this, a dealer's sales history would silently change every time a customer left.
Payment and invoice records (dealers only) Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, and records of them are retained by us and by Stripe as required by US tax and accounting law (generally seven years). These are business records of a transaction, and we cannot delete them on request. They contain billing details, not your app activity.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The services we use to run Wrench Wallet (Supabase for the database, Stripe for payments, Resend for email) process data on our instructions only.

Request a deletion, or ask a question

Customers can delete their own account in the app, as described above. Use this form if you are a dealer closing a program, if you cannot get into your account, or if you want to ask what we hold about you.

Send it from the email address on the account. We cannot delete an account on a request that comes from somewhere else. That would let anyone delete anyone.
